DevDay Da Nang 2016, the biggest IT event in the city has been hold successfully on Saturday April 9th, 2016 at the University of Science and Technology – University of Da Nang. This is a joint event of Axon Active Vietnam and the University.
This is the second time the open conference took place in Da Nang as a result of a professional event planning. This year, the event attracted more than 1,200 participants, including a large number of students from the IT sector of universities in the city, the local developers and businesses.
From 7 AM, many students have shown up at the event site to process check-in. While the actual number of participants exceeded estimation, the Organizer has well handled the crowd and ensured the check-in procedure happen smoothly, safely and quickly. The young students have put up with the reputation of the city in front of international friends by patiently lining up and friendly behaving.
With 26 topics presented by 23 local and international speakers, DevDay Da Nang 2016 was more diverse compared to the first event. Topics are not only focused on the field of technologies, career orientation and management, but also extended to the startup trend and development policy for students as well as new businesses. If students and young programmers showed interest in in vocational training and how to succeed, experienced developers were keen to participate in the advanced topic discussions.

The event took place from morning till evening on a beautiful day, giving the majority chance to stay till the very last minutes of the event and celebrate in the Closing Party. This is the highlight of DevDay Da Nang 2016.
The cocktail party was organized by professional service to ensure for all participants the best quality. It created an opportunity for young students to make direct connection and interact with national and international speakers. Food and drink are completely free which made it even better.
Hero – a musical band from the University – came on stage and warmed up the whole party with their cheering and emotional song. All music performances brought up intimacy, coziness, excitement to the open space of the gala night. The speakers also were not afraid to soak up the enthusiastic and energetic atmosphere and joined in the brilliant success of DevDay.
During an interview, Mr. Markus Baur, CEO of Axon Active Vietnam, co-organizer and platinum sponsor of the event, shared his intention to bring DevDay Da Nang to nation-wide and even across borders. He hopes to receive support and partnership from the domestic IT enterprises as well as the city council.
